In Loving Memory
An Obituary
Linda Dell Boreing White stepped into the arms of our loving Lord on June 20, 2025. Linda was born on March 9, 1941 in Amarillo, Tx to Russ Ruble Boreing and Rosa Lee (Barker) Boreing. Linda lived a life full of love, kindness, and purpose, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of all who knew her.
A Life Well Lived
Linda was a person of extraordinary compassion, resilience, and strength. From a young age Linda knew her calling was to help others, especially children as she worked for many, many years as an elementary school teacher in the Friona Public School system. Linda held a bachelor’s degree in early education with a minor in Speech. Through unwavering determination, she overcame many obstacles and was faithful to put others’ needs first regardless of the situation. She built a legacy in both her family and her community as someone who consistently went the extra mile to care for and help others. Linda was a loving friend and enjoyed volunteering in her church (Union Congregational Church in Friona). Linda learned Spanish while teaching elementary school and went on to teach English as a second language to many Spanish speaking students and adults. Linda also loved volunteering at the Friona Friends of the Library Book Shoppe as teaching and reading were a few of her passions. She also enjoyed sewing. Giving and hospitality were just a few of Linda’s love languages as well as her humor, wit, and sarcasm. Linda’s smile not only lit up a room but lit up the entire world.
